Bewusstsein nicht erkennen

In Sāvatthī.

Als er sich zur Seite hingesetzt hatte, sagte der Wanderer Vacchagotta zum Buddha:

„Was ist der Grund, werter Gotama, was ist die Ursache, dass diese verschiedenen Arten von Irrglauben in der Welt erscheinen …?“

„Vaccha, es ist, weil man Bewusstsein nicht erkennt, nicht seinen Ursprung, nicht sein Aufhören und nicht die Übung, die zu seinem Aufhören führt …“

At Sāvatthī.

Then the wanderer Vacchagotta said to the Buddha:

“What is the cause, worthy Gotama, what is the reason why these various misconceptions arise in the world? …”

“Vaccha, it is because of not knowing consciousness, its origin, its cessation, and the practice that leads to its cessation …”

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho vacchagotto paribbājako bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

“ko nu kho, bho gotama, hetu, ko paccayo, yānimāni anekavihitāni diṭṭhigatāni loke uppajjanti—

“Viññāṇe kho, vaccha, aññāṇā, viññāṇasamudaye aññāṇā, viññāṇanirodhe aññāṇā, viññāṇanirodhagāminiyā paṭipadāya aññāṇā;
