Da ging ein Mönch zum Buddha … und sagte zu ihm: „Was ist der Grund, Herr, was ist die Ursache, dass manche Drachen, die aus einer Gebärmutter geboren sind, den Besinnungstag einhalten, nachdem sie ihren Körper verwandelt haben?“

Atha kho aññataro bhikkhu yena bhagavā …pe… ekamantaṁ nisinno kho so bhikkhu bhagavantaṁ etadavoca: “ko nu kho, bhante, hetu, ko paccayo, yena m’idhekacce jalābujā nāgā uposathaṁ upavasanti vossaṭṭhakāyā ca bhavantī”ti?
