Die vier Elemente
Einmal hielt sich der Buddha bei Sāvatthī in Jetas Wäldchen auf, dem Kloster des Anāthapiṇḍika. … „Mönche und Nonnen, es gibt vier Elemente. Welche vier? Die Elemente Erde, Wasser, Feuer und Wind. Das sind die vier Elemente.“
Four Elements
At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery. … “Mendicants, there are these four elements. What four? The elements of earth, water, fire, and air. These are the four elements.”
Catudhātusutta
Ekaṁ samayaṁ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṁ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme … “catasso imā, bhikkhave, dhātuyo. Katamā catasso? Pathavīdhātu, āpodhātu, tejodhātu, vāyodhātu— imā kho, bhikkhave, catasso dhātuyo”ti.
