Unwürdiges Verhalten (2)

„Mönche und Nonnen, unwürdiges Verhalten hat fünf Nachteile. Welche fünf? Man weckt keine Zuversicht bei denen mit mangelnder Zuversicht. Manche Zuversichtlichen veranlasst man dazu, ihre Meinung zu ändern. Man folgt nicht der Anleitung des Lehrers. Die, die nach einem kommen, folgen dem Beispiel, das man gibt. Und der Geist wird nicht klar. Das sind die fünf Nachteile unwürdigen Verhaltens.

Würdevolles Verhalten hat fünf Vorteile. Welche fünf? Man weckt Zuversicht bei denen mit mangelnder Zuversicht. Man stärkt die Zuversicht bei den Zuversichtlichen. Man folgt der Anleitung des Lehrers. Die, die nach einem kommen, folgen dem Beispiel, das man gibt. Und der Geist wird klar. Das sind die fünf Vorteile würdevollen Verhaltens.“

Unimpressive Conduct (2nd)

“Mendicants, there are these five drawbacks of unimpressive conduct. What five? You don’t inspire confidence in those without it. You cause some with confidence to change their minds. You don’t follow the Teacher’s instructions. Those who come after you follow your example. And your mind doesn’t become clear. These are the five drawbacks of unimpressive conduct.

There are these five benefits of impressive conduct. What five? You inspire confidence in those without it. You increase confidence in those who have it. You follow the Teacher’s instructions. Those who come after you follow your example. And your mind becomes clear. These are the five benefits of impressive conduct.”

Dutiyaapāsādikasutta

“Pañcime, bhikkhave, ādīnavā apāsādike. Katame pañca? Appasannā nappasīdanti, pasannānañca ekaccānaṁ aññathattaṁ hoti, satthusāsanaṁ akataṁ hoti, pacchimā janatā diṭṭhānugatiṁ āpajjati, cittamassa nappasīdati. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca ādīnavā apāsādike.

Pañcime, bhikkhave, ānisaṁsā pāsādike. Katame pañca? Appasannā pasīdanti, pasannānañca bhiyyobhāvo hoti, satthusāsanaṁ kataṁ hoti, pacchimā janatā diṭṭhānugatiṁ āpajjati, cittamassa pasīdati. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca ānisaṁsā pāsādike”ti.
