12. Āpāyikavagga
Unermesslich
„Diese drei Personen, Mönche und Nonnen, findet man in der Welt. Welche drei? Jemanden, der leicht zu messen ist, jemanden, der schwer zu messen ist, und jemanden, der unermesslich ist.
Und welche Person ist leicht zu messen? Da ist eine Person rastlos, unverschämt, launisch und großmäulig, mit loser Zunge, unachtsam, ohne Situationsbewusstsein, ohne Versenkung, mit schweifendem Geist und unbeherrschten Sinnen. Das nennt man ‚eine Person, die leicht zu messen ist‘.
Und welche Person ist schwer zu messen? Da ist eine Person nicht rastlos, unverschämt, launisch und großmäulig, hat keine lose Zunge, sondern ist achtsam, mit Situationsbewusstsein und Versenkung, mit geeintem Geist und beherrschten Sinnen. Das nennt man ‚eine Person, die schwer zu messen ist‘.
Und welche Person ist unermesslich? Da ist ein Mönch vollendet und hat die Befleckungen aufgelöst. Das nennt man ‚eine Person, die unermesslich ist‘.
Das sind die drei Personen, die man in der Welt findet.“
Immeasurable
“Mendicants, these three individuals are found in the world. What three? Someone easy to measure, someone hard to measure, and someone who is immeasurable.
And who is the individual easy to measure? It’s an individual who is restless, insolent, fickle, scurrilous, loose-tongued, unmindful, lacking situational awareness and immersion, with straying mind and undisciplined faculties. This is called ‘an individual easy to measure’.
And who is the individual hard to measure? It’s an individual who is not restless, insolent, fickle, scurrilous, or loose-tongued. They have established mindfulness, situational awareness and immersion, with unified mind and restrained faculties. This is called ‘an individual hard to measure’.
And who is the immeasurable individual? It’s a mendicant who is perfected, and has ended defilements. This is called ‘an immeasurable individual’.
These are the three individuals found in the world.”
Appameyyasutta
“Tayome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ. Katame tayo? Suppameyyo, duppameyyo, appameyyo.
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, puggalo suppameyyo? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo uddhato hoti unnaḷo capalo mukharo vikiṇṇavāco muṭṭhassati asampajāno asamāhito vibbhantacitto pākatindriyo. Ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, puggalo suppameyyo.
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, puggalo duppameyyo? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo anuddhato hoti anunnaḷo acapalo amukharo avikiṇṇavāco upaṭṭhitassati sampajāno samāhito ekaggacitto saṁvutindriyo. Ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, puggalo duppameyyo.
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, puggalo appameyyo? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu arahaṁ hoti khīṇāsavo. Ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, puggalo appameyyo.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmin”ti.
